Overview
Prop-5 is a synthesizer audio plugin (VST3 / Standalone formats) developed using the JUCE framework.
This synthesizer was modeled after and inspired by the legendary analog synthesizer, Prophet-5.
Please note that this project partially utilizes AI-assisted coding (Gemini and Antigravity).
Download and Installation Instructions (For End-Users)
*Note: This package is currently for Windows only (64-bit). If you would like to use this plugin without building it yourself, please follow the steps below:*
1. Download and Extract the Package
- Go to the GitHub Releases page.
- Download
Prop-5_v[Version]_[Configuration]_Windows.zipfrom the "Assets" section of the latest release. - Extract (unzip) the downloaded ZIP file to a location of your choice.
2. Run the Installer and Select Installation Options
- Run the
Prop-5_v[Version]_[Configuration]_Installer.exelocated inside the extracted folder. - Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- During installation, you can choose from the following components:
- Full Installation: Installs both the VST3 plugin and the Standalone application. (Recommended)
- Standalone Only: Installs only the standalone application which can be run without a DAW.
- VST3 Only: Installs only the plugin for use within a DAW (Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper, etc.).
3. Uninstallation
If you wish to uninstall Prop-5, go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, select Prop-5, and click Uninstall.
4. User Manual
A copy of the documentation is included in this package. For details on how to use Prop-5, explanations of each parameter, and how to save/load presets, please open docs/manual.en.md (or the PDF version at docs/docs_PDF/manual.en.pdf) located inside the extracted folder.

For macOS / Linux Users
Currently, the official release packages are only available for Windows. If you wish to use this plugin on macOS or Linux, you will need to build it from the source code. Please refer to the following document for build instructions:
Overview (Tools Required for Building)
- Prepare a C++17 compatible compiler, CMake, and Git.
- Clone this repository and place the JUCE framework (v7.0.12) directly under the project root.
- Build the project using CMake.
